A Community Foundation Serving the Chesapeake Bay Region

Welcome to the Community Foundation where:

Board members are selected based on their passion for making a difference in the community.

The commitment is to making a difference now for generations to come.

Efficiency is key in making sure the community is the true benefactor.

Maximum impact in the community is assured through expert board members and staff, who determine the most effective programs; ones that are:

  • research based,
  • target areas of true need,
  • support organizations that are efficient, and
  • address important needs.

Organizations that are making a difference are sustained.

Every donor is important.

Responsiveness to the changing environment through creative fundraising strategies, aggressive grant-seeking and exploring multiple revenue streams is the norm.

It is important to create opportunities for communities and organizations to collaborate--always looking for the win-win.

The Foundation Welcomes

Caroline County Veterans Memorial Tribute Fund: To honor the service of Caroline County veterans and their families, a permanent tribute shall be installed on the grounds of the historic National Guard Armory, now renovated and rededicated as the General James F. Fretterd Community Center. Located at 107 South Fourth Street in Denton, the marble monument's inscription acknowledges the historic military service ties of the 29th Infantry and features the insignias of the five military service branches. This fund is established for the construction and maintenance costs associated with the Monument's projected installation by the summer of 2011.
